Reverend Clyde Blake Bostick serves as the senior pastor of Belmont Methodist Church and Monthalia Methodist Church, where he leads with a heart for Christ and a deep commitment to shepherding God’s people. Alongside his pastoral ministry, he is a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, serving as a chaplain candidate. His dual calling reflects a lifelong dedication to faith, service, and community.
Clyde is a full-time seminarian at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. His academic work equips and enriches his pastoral ministry, allowing him to serve with both practical experience and theological depth.
His journey in ministry began as the Family Life Director at Quinlan United Methodist Church. He was soon entrusted with greater responsibilities, serving as supply pastor for Tira UMC and Sulphur Bluff UMC. From there, he was promoted to associate pastor for Pecan Gap and Ladonia UMC, before stepping into senior pastor roles at Caddo Mills UMC and Floyd UMC. With each appointment, Clyde has continued to grow in wisdom, leadership, and pastoral care.
Beyond his vocational callings, Clyde is a man of faith, family, and service. While his wife lovingly calls him “Blake,” most know him simply as Pastor Clyde — a servant leader devoted to guiding others toward God’s grace, building strong communities, and living out the gospel with integrity.
